Choosing your CPU
 

Digiliant currently offers 2 lines of Intel Processors depending on the system, Core i3 and Xeon.


Core i3 is only offered on our entry level systems and smaller 1U/2U configurations. It works great on small servers to handle the needs of a small organization that does not need to rely on the workloads of larger ones. A good example would be a file server for an office with 5 to 10 employees.

All rackmount and high-end towers use the Intel Xeon Processor. Depending on the workload you need we offer many different variations of the 5600 Series to choose from. The E5606 works great under the typical loads of a NAS/SAN system. If you are creating multiple iSCSI targets for VMs or other heavier load applications you may want to select a faster E CPU or even consider an X model for the highest level of functionality and operation.
